The cities of Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park and Wilton Manors are sub-divided into neighborhoods. Some of these neighborhoods are Recognized Neighborhood Associations within their respective cities, and provide their citizens a voice and can act as an advocate in local government decisions. Recognized Neighborhood Association leaders will get updates from the City Council on plans for their community and others within their governance. When residents form an association and are recognized by the city your community can participate at a variety of levels.
