Selection to MLS Policy Committee

MLS Policy Committee Selection

I have been selected by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Board of Realtors to serve on the MLS Policy Committee for the next 2 years.  The purpose of the MLS Policy Committee is to provide oversight of Multiple Listing Service (MLS) policy and monitor the performance standards of the MLS. Reviews and recommend changes in technology and services to meet current and future needs of the members of the association. This committee is comprised of 20 members appointed by the President of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors®.

MLS LogoThe Multiple Listing Service, or MLS, is the standardized database use by Realtor® members to listing sellers properties for sale, allow members to search for properties to send to their buyers, and also feeds national and local web site real estate portals such as Realtor.com, Redfin, Zillow, and any agent who offers property search features on their web site.

These committee meetings will permit me to provide input on important aspects that not only affect the Realtor members, but also our clients. Improving the efficiency in which real estate agents can manage and filter property data will result in improvements in data integrity and quality, faster access to new homes on the market and technology service offerings to our members and buyers & sellers that enhance our relationships.

I look forward to working with my fellow committee members by offering my experience in back-end data systems and user interface design.
